2022 World Series Odds Tracker
The Mets have dropped from 11-1 to 14-1 to win the World Series after announcing Jacob deGrom would miss at least a month.
2022 World Series Odds
With just a few days until the 2022 MLB season begins, World Series odds are starting to take their final preseason shape. An accelerated free agency period and betting action have moved lines a bit, with the Blue Jays becoming the second favorite at PointsBet behind the Dodgers.
Big injury news moved lines even further on Friday, when the Mets announced Jacob deGrom would be shut down for a month with a shoulder injury. They dropped from 11-1 to 14-1.
The Braves have retained their status as a favorite by adding first baseman Matt Olsen from the A's. They'll also get Ronald Acuna Jr. back from injury and Marcell Ozuna back from suspension.
After that, the Mets and Yankees come in at +1100. They're in a similar boat in that they've not favored to win their division, but are just behind the favored Braves and Blue Jays.
The Twins were one of the biggest movers of the offseason, dropping from +8000 to +5000 after adding Carlos Correa in free agency. The Reds and A's fell in a major way after trading or losing many key pieces to free agency.
We’ll be tracking how World Series odds are moving all offseason long. Compare MLB futures to make sure you’re getting the best price on whatever you want to bet.

Who Is the World Series Favorite?
1.
LA Dodgers (+600)
The Dodgers, the 2020 MLB champs, are the favorite for yet another season, despite losing to the Braves in the playoffs this past season. They added Freddie Freeman this offseason, lost Corey Seager to the Rangers, but continue to boast one of the deepest rosters in baseball.
2.
TOR Blue Jays (+800)
The Blue Jays’ elite offense will keep them in a lot of games, and with players like Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette still entering their primes, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Toronto in the postseason this year and contending. Their World Series odds have dropped from around +1300 to +800 over the last few weeks, making them the second favorite.
3.
HOU Astros (+1000)
All the controversy surrounding the Astros tempered expectations for them entering this year but an MLB World Series run proves they’re still one of the best teams in baseball. Carlos Correa is gone, but much of the core remains, and players like Kyle Tucker took a big step forward. Justin Verlander will also be back leading the rotation this year.
4.
ATL Braves (+1000)
Atlanta wasn’t expected to contend for a World Series in 2021 — the Mets were favored to win the division — but it’s hard not to expect this core to be around for a while, especially with Ronald Acuna coming back. Freeman is off to L.A. but Atlanta acquired Matt Olson from the A's. Marcell Ozuna will also be back in the lineup after a domestic violence incident caused him to miss most of last year.
5.
NY Yankees (+1100)
The Yankees were among the first five MLB betting choices entering this season but never quite put it all together and lost in the Wild Card Game to the Red Sox. They shipped Gary Sanchez to Minnesota and have been quiet the rest of the offseason, so they've been passed in World Series odds by the Blue Jays and Braves.
6.
CHI White Sox (+1200)
The team had World Series expectations in the first year under Tony La Russa. The pressure rises in his second season with one of the most loaded, young cores in MLB. Chicago is the odds-on favorite to win the AL Central but the Twins are lurking.
7.
NY Mets (+1400)
There’s renewed hope in Queens after the offseason additions of Max Scherzer, Starling Marte and more, but the Jacob deGrom injury dropped them from 11-1 to 14-1 at PointsBet. The Mets will have a difficult battle in the division with the Braves and much-improved Phillies.
8.
TB Rays (+1500)
The Rays were MLB runners up in 2020 and will always reload. They’ve got some of the most exciting young players in baseball, including Wander Franco, and are primed to contend again.
9.
MIL Brewers (+1600)
The Brewers were another MLB team not expected to contend in 2021 but won the NL Central with ease behind an excellent pitching staff and if their arms can stay healthy, they’ll be a factor again.
10.
SD Padres (+1800)
San Diego missed the postseason in part due to the strength of the NL West, and got some bad news this spring. Fernando Tatis Jr. will miss up to three months with a broken hand, which has dropped the Padres from one of the top six betting choice to 10th at +1800.
11.
SF Giants (+2200)
The surprise team of 2021 figures to play in the deep end of the free agent market to try to return to the playoffs in 2022.
12.
BOS Red Sox (+2200)
Much of the core will return under Alex Cora, but pitching reinforcements are needed behind Nathan Eovaldi and Chris Sale.
13.
STL Cardinals (+2800)
New manager Oli Marmol will look to get the team over the hump that the organization felt former manager Mike Shildt couldn’t. Their World Series odds are in an awkward range — far from the contenders, but not with the longshots. This is a pretty good price on St. Louis — the Cardinals are +2500 at DraftKings Sportsbook.
14.
LA Angels (+3000)
Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani…+3000? The Angels have two of baseball’s best and most exciting players but haven’t made the playoffs since 2014.
15.
PHI Phillies (+3300)
Bryce Harper did his part in 2021, but as usual it’s a question of the players around him in Philadelphia doing their part. Philly did well in the offseason, adding Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber, who should both fit the ballpark beautifully.
16.
SEA Mariners (+3500)
Jerry Dipoto is one of the more unpredictable general managers in baseball, and there are plenty of directions to go coming off a 90-win season in Seattle. Rumors indicate Seattle will be a buyer this offseason.
17.
MIN Twins (+5000)
The Twins went from 80-1 to win the World Series to 50-1 after adding Carlos Correa. There's optimism for a group of mostly unknown but promising pitchers, including Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober.
18.
DET Tigers (+6000)
The Tigers bested their win total this year and have a lot to look forward to as their young core grows. They're been floating around the 60-1 and 70-1 range most of the offseason.
19.
MIA Marlins (+7500)
The Marlins were supposed to be better in 2021 and won 67 games. People will say they should be better in 2022. Hard to get worse than 67 wins for this group.
20.
CLE Guardians (+8000)
It’s a winnable division and perennial MVP candidate Jose Ramirez is still here (for now), but the betting market doesn't expect this team to contend for a World Series.
21.
TEX Rangers (+8000)
Despite a spending spree on MVP finalist Marcus Semien, Corey Seager and right-hander Jon Gray, the Rangers’ odds haven’t moved all that much.
22.
CHI Cubs (+10000)
The Cubs are also retooling after unloading a huge chunk of their core at the deadline and figure to start a rebuild to contend in a few years.
23.
KC Royals (+11000)
Bobby Witt Jr. should make his debut shortly after April, and he’s just one of many prospects on the way that will make bettors want to be early on Kansas City instead of late.
24.
CIN Reds (+12500)
The Reds have been a popular MLB sleeper in the division for years, never got it done, and began unloading pieces this offseason.
25.
OAK Athletics (+15000)
The A's have dropped from the top half of the odds board all the way to 150-1,
26.
WAS Nationals (+15000)
The Nats are in rebuild mode after shipping Max Scherzer and Trea Turner to the Dodgers at the deadline. Nelson Cruz and Juan Soto should provide some pop in the lineup but this team has a long way to go.
27.
COL Rockies (+20000)
The Rockies lost Gray and Trevor Story while adding Kris Bryant. In a tough division, they don't figure to contend much.
28.
ARI Diamondbacks (+25000)
The Diamondbacks were one of the worst teams in baseball last season and will be right at the bottom again, according to the betting market.
29.
BAL Orioles (+50000)
The Orioles have some interesting offensive pieces but they're nowhere near the postseason picture given the quality of the division. They have to play the Rays, Red Sox, Yankees and Blue Jays 72 times.
30.
PIT Pirates (+50000)
The Pirates have some interesting young pieces coming up through the system, like NL Rookie of the Year favorite O'Neill Cruz. But they're still a few years away from competing.
